A little of everything.

So today I got paid. And as fast as I got paid it was gone again from bills. Ugh I hate being broke and alone. When I'm alone I tend to eat more then I should or I shop with money I don't have ( and I wonder why I'm broke ). I also found out today that I may not be able to continue living in my apartment much longer due to my job situation. I'm really excited for my move back home but its hard to know when that's gonna happen. Maybe sooner than later and getting all the moving stuff together and moved is time consuming and takes money. *sighs*. Such is life.

I just can't seem to keep myself on a steady eating habit. I eat bigger portions than I'm supposed to or I eat just enough and I feel full but then up force myself to eat more come meal time or snack time. Then by the end of the night I'm blown up like a balloon and feel like I can't eat anymore. I can't sleep on a full stomach. I'm just hoping all this bloating is from my hormones because I start next week. *crosses fingers*. Lets hope that's all it is.

Okay so I'm gonna put myself back on track tomorrow and just drink lots of water and eat light so hopefully my body can digest all this food from the pass three days. Oh and ill do as much walking as I can.

Wish me luck...

Lost it! App and eating.

So I kinda was bad today and had my first day of fast food. It was yummy but I felt so full and I blew up from eating so much from yesterday and today.

I had so much food yesterday that I felt full all night and all morning. Then about 11am this morning I made myself a cup of chai latte tea k-cup, whole grain toast and oatmeal. Good hearty healthy breakfast. Then I get to work and have the McRib from McDonalds and I was in trouble. I had a medium fry and drink too. Naughty me. So much for cutting out fast food and soda.

So when I got home I decided I wasn't going to eat anything to make up for it. I also keep track of what I eat and how many calories I'm eating etc. by using this really cool app called Lose It! You can enter anything you eat and/or drink for the day including snacks and also what kind of exercise you've done if any. I'm so glad I had this app. I ended up going over my calories by 109 yesterday and was 287 short today even after all the fast food. So I guess it counts.

On a completely random note. I'm gonna be making green smoothies at least once or twice a week to detox my body from everything I'm putting into it during the week. And I'm only going to be making baked goodies twice a month. So watch out for those and the recipes. This Sunday I'm going to be making Banana nut muffins. And what ever green smoothie I make ill share with you too.

As I've said I'm not trying to lose weight I'm just trying to maintain my current weight but be healthier about it and maybe start working out some too. I will admit I do have some troublesome "skin" in places I don't want it lol.

Anyways I'm off for the night. Happy Wednesday talk to you tomorrow.

Cinnamon Nutella Pancakes!

Sorry for the bad picture I don't have a very good camera at the moment.

So yesterday I decided to finally make myself a good breakfast. Seeing how its the most important meal of the day. I scrounged through my pantry and fridge to see what I had and decided pancakes were going to be it.

I don't know about you but I'm a sucker for pancakes, be it morning or night. Then the thought of adding Nutella into the mix just made it all that much better:). I'm also not a syrup fan.

Now for the recipe and the yummy goodness of the pancakes.

Cinnamon Nutella Pancakes

• 1 cup all purpose flour
• 1/2 cup King Arthur whole wheat flour
• 3 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
• 1 tsp Salt
• 1 Tbsp Sugar
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1 1/4 cup Milk
• 1 egg
• 3 Tbsp butter melted
Nutella for spreading on pancakes

Directions:
1. In a bowl, mix together the first 6 ingredients.
2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg and melted butter.
3. Mix the dry and wet ingredients together until smooth.
4. Warm greased griddle or ( if your like me and don't have one) a frying pan over medium heat. Pour the batter onto the griddle or pan and brown on both sides. About 2-3 mins each.
5. Serve warm with Nutella spread over the top and enjoy. :)

You can add just about anything you want to this recipe, just remember if its a solid (e.g Nuts, chocolate chips, or whatever else your heart or stomach desires) FOLD it in at the end just before pouring it into the pan.

I'm in no way a health nut. I'm on a see food diet. I see food I eat it. ;). On the other hand I don't just take an entire chocolate cream pie and eat it. I am big on portion control. Anything is okay in moderation. So make a few pancakes. Slap on some Nutella or syrup and have a cup of tea or coffee instead of milk and then you'll be fine just don't eat the whole stack of pancakes lol. I almost did. Besides these aren't actually all that bad for you seeing as I snuck in the whole wheat flour and there is only 1 tbsp of sugar for the entire recipe. And if you don't want to add the Nutella and just keep it simple then that's perfect too.

Leaving off on that note ill talk to you all later. Have a great Wednesday :)

Here's to a New Year.

So here I am still in bed at 9 am on New Years Day wondering if I should have that cup of coffee or go the healthy route and drink milk. Coffee sounds so good maybe it won't be so hard to cut back on the amount of coffee I drink if I add other things to my list. Then there is the topic of breakfast. The most important meal of the day. Should I do oatmeal like I've always done or change it up to pancakes or an egg sandwich. Decisions decisions.

My resolution is to take better care of myself this year. Does that mean I can have my coffee and drink it too? You bet it does. Coffee and pancakes here I come. ☕

Happy New Year!! First post of 2013

So it's finally here, the New Year and I'm excited to start up blogging again and getting myself back together. 2012 was a roller coaster of a year and I'm ready to put it in the past and move on.

This year I'm planning to stick with my resolution as much as possible and not let things get the best of me. I'm going to get up with a smile everyday and take better care of myself and well being.

I have such big plans for this year and I'm excited to get started. I'm planning a big move across country to my family in Florida by September or October, maybe sooner if we're lucky. And hopefully get to go back to school to pursue my passion in Photography. Maybe ill even start up a YouTube channel seeing as I love makeup and skincare and most of all cooking and baking. That would be fun. Once I've become un-camera shy that is.

I'm also looking forward to starting clean and fresh with everything and maybe one day ill find my Prince Charming and live happily ever after. For now I leave off on that note; until tomorrow my friends.
